October 2021 - COP26 Operations Statement

Glasgow will host the COP26 Climate Change summit at the end of this month and travel around the city is expected to be "significantly impacted", with major road closures beginning this weekend.

Closures start on Saturday 23rd October and last until Monday 15th November. COP26 itself will be held over two weeks from 31st October - 12th November 2021 at the SEC in Glasgow.

Disruption including unplanned protests, public transport strikes and severe delays on the M8 and M74 means that both our own delivery capacity and our suppliers' ability to deliver goods to us will be impacted. We expect this impact to be felt across Renfrewshire, throughout Glasgow, Lanarkshire and as far as Edinburgh (where many high-profile politicians are staying during the conference).

We would encourage customers to review and advise on their upcoming orders for the next few weeks as soon as possible. Bringing orders forward could ease pressure if delays are worse than expected. Acting now will allow us to plan and deliver with as little impact as possible. Unfortunately, delays are outwith our control and are inevitable. Operations will be under daily review, please check for updates during the duration of the conference.

September 2021 - Operations Procedure Updates

Dear Valued Customer,

We are now in what is traditionally the busiest quarter of the year in the bathroom industry but hopefully there will be more stability for the coming months then there has been over the last 18. Like most other businesses, we are busier than normal whilst trying to cope with supply chain issues, along with adapting to the ever-changing COVID protocols required in the workplace. With this in mind we have 'tweaked' our operational procedures as follows:

  • We will only allocate stock on advanced orders 4 weeks in advance . This will free up stock for more urgent orders whilst allowing us 4 weeks to fully allocate your order or to notify you of any potential issues.
  • Collections are only be available between 8am - 4pm (unless by prior arrangement), allowing our warehouse team more dedicated time in the morning and late afternoon to load our fleet of vans.
  • We are constantly increasing our stock holding to cope with demand and supply issues. To help accommodate with additional incoming deliveries we now operate a booking-in system for all our suppliers. Time slots can be pre-booked Mon - Fri, 8am - 3pm by contacting goodsin@kbbathrooms.co.uk or calling Ryan on 0141 771 2037. Priority will be given to all pre-booked deliveries.

I'm hopeful that these changes will make us more efficient coming in to the busiest months of the year.

COVID-19 Updates - May 2021

Dear Valued Customer,
